    Hi folks,
    Firstly happy new year.

Now I am new to the site so I would like to say well done with your work.

I would like to ask and I bet it is in here somewhere but I could not for the life of me find it.

I would like to add some other components and modules to the site but how do I go about adding thiis to the menu so that is sees the module or component?

For example a Kunena forum so if they scroll down the menu and they are logged in the can see a Kunena forum ? Or is this not possible?

    Regards
    Darren.

    Hi Tom,
Sorry for my bad description, I think it would help to let you guys know I am Dyslexic so it takes me a bit to get things right.

    I will try again.

If I create a menu Item called videos. And I want to put a module on that menu, so when people scroll down to say videos. They will get a module I bought a while ago called http://www.viperwebsites.com/view_document/8-youtube-video-gallery-pro-v150-for-joomla-15.html

Instead of a articles it shows the video player.
Hope that I explained it a bit better.

I’m not entirely certain what you are describing is possible with the main navigation structure within the JA Smashboard template – as it is not a “mega menu,” per se.

However, as I am not 100% sure I am correct, I will forward your question onto the JA Development Team for further comment. (Note, the JA Devs are off until Jan 2 – so please be patient).

    Have a Safe & Happy New Year’s Celebration !!!

    🙂

    Hi Darren,

JA Smashboard template has specific design, as you can see in our demo site, it has sidebar-1 and top-header position that you can assign your own module to.

You can also customize the layout by adding new position and call this new position in appropriate layout. However, I’m afraid that you will need heavy customization (CSS, JS) since it may break the layout.

    Thanks you Saguaros,
So I can wrap my head around this, if I tried to add a position in the smashboard between the “Message” and “Component” or below “Component”as in the the image below.

It would break the format of Smash? I was just looking for one more place to add a 1 module if needed per menu, so I I wanted to use a video player then on videos menu item I could place a player etc

    Regards
    Darren

I do have one last question to ask if possible.

I want to make a menu blank page so I can just put a module in the top-Header position and nothing else when a person clicks on the menu item. I used to use category blog it would then give me a blank page but I can not get that to do it here.

    @ Darren,

Could you post your site’s URL here so that I can have a look? I’m afraid that I’m not so clear about ‘blank page’, type of menu item.

    Hi!

I’m trying How to create new module position (Updated) to put a custom module inside the “carrousel component” but I don’t know how to make it works. The new position must move along with the articles when the navigation buttons are pressed. It could be in the beginning or in the end of the set of articles, like in the image below:

Can anyone help me with that?

    Thanks in advance.

@emptycup: it’s really hard to achieve this and will require lots of customization. I recommend you to hire a developer to get this done for you.
