It was driving me crazy trying to add an iFrame link to my left menu. The Menu-iFrame URL only works on the top menu…not the left menu. It took days of my time as I do not do this full time and this is what I did to solve my problem. It allowed me to create an article with a iFrame link and then attach it to my menus.

You need to modify your “Super Users” account in order to add iFrame code into articles:

    1. Log in to your Joomla Administrator panel

    2. Click on ‘Content’,’Article Manager’, and click on the button ‘Options‘

    3. Click on the ‘Text Filters‘ tab.

    4. Go to ‘Super Users’ and select ‘No Filtering’ from the drop down.

    5. Save and refresh your site.

    6. If you are using TinyMCE editor, go to the editor options – Extensions menu > Plug-in Manager > Editor-TinyMCE

    7. Disable “clean up on save”

It doesn’t link directly to the magazine which I would like so it is a bit of a work around but at least now I can move on with other site issues and leave that behind for now.
