December 17, 2007 at 11:31 pm #124466This probably just as much a general joomla question as an “Erica” question.
How do I insert images (or large icons) to the left of a content section.
For example, the demo site for Erica has an images of “Web 2.0” to the left of the title (“Web 2.0 Style”) and there is an image of scissors to the left of of “Easy Customization” (these links lead to content in the Newslight module). The demo also displays small icons next to each story in the user 5 module.kashxo Friendkashxo

December 18, 2007 at 2:08 am #234791Firstly, when create/edit a content item, you will see on your right hand the Images tab, click on that and select the images you want then add them to the right box
Then select the image you want to add to content, select alignment to Left
Finally, add the image to your content text
Well, you should see more tutorials of mastering Joomla! at: http://www.joomla.org

December 18, 2007 at 3:25 pm #234825Thank you for such a detailed response. I understand how to place an image within the body of a page–but how do I get it to the left of the title, body, and “read more”? Look at the home page of the Erica demo. There is an icon to the left of every article. It’s easy enough to use an image to identify a section or category, but it looks like Erica includes images for articles within categories and sections. Am I making any sense?
ThanksJanuary 1, 2008 at 11:43 pm #235523thanks I have finally fixed it
March 25, 2008 at 8:03 pm #243178how?!? How did you fix it!?!

November 25, 2008 at 4:31 am #280208naturally, these instructions are for joomla 1.0.x not 1.5.x
December 7, 2008 at 9:03 am #281628great explanation there for version 1.0. Anyone got an ide how to do this in version 1.5?
I also have the same problem on my front page: http://www.leprechaunonline.com. i am trying to place text besie an image but it automatically ends up under the image.
Any idea’s for joomla 1.5?
Thanks
Roger

you need an image for each article you intend to display as part of newslight module. just ensure image alignment is set to ‘left’. text should wrap to right of image. mine displays ok at http://www.mylearningspace.com.auDecember 8, 2008 at 7:49 am #281720Thnx a lot. Got that and it works.
