Hi,

With JA Slideshow module, you can add description and link to the description for each image, when you are loading images from a folder.

I’m using the JA Methys template and I was able to get the slide to link to my article by placing the code in the description box, but I have 2 issues still:

1) There’s no hover effect…the cursor doesn’t change to let the user know it’s linked to something.
2) I have all the images from the slideshow folder showing when I only want certain ones. How do I keep from showing all the images without having to create folder after folder for each set of slides that I want to show? I will be changes the slides weekly.

Originally I tried using the “From Articles” option by inserting the image in the article and linking the image, but the link doesn’t work on the frontend.

Can you please provide site url and admin access to check the first issue regarding hover effect?

I am sorry but there is no way you can choose which images you want to display out of an image folder, in JA Slideshow.
If you use the From Articles option, a link will not be created for an image but you can see the article title and description (if any) which can be used to display the whole article.. I think that would be the best option for you since you can set to show latest articles in the slideshow, so you will then just need to create articles and they will show up automatically in the slideshow..

Let me know if you need any help with that.

If you guys are coming out with a Slideshow III, I believe that it would be great if you could add the option to choose which images you want to show. For now I will have to create multiple folders or delete images. Also, if choosing the From Articles options, it would be great to have the image linked to the article. This is a slideshow and no one wants an article to show up in the Slideshow. It doesn’t make sense.

Hi,

Check http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#demo.joomlart.com/extensions15 In 1/2styles of JA slideshow 2 the images are linked to the respective articles. In those cases I think you can turn off the Article title and introtext and show only the image with a link.. Try that too.
