You mean that it will open a new page with Metro style ?
If so then you will need to assign as style the metro style in the Template Style settings of the menu

October 10, 2013 at 4:08 am #508545In settings of ‘Modern’ style > Layout tab > you can change it to the same layout that ‘Metro’ style is using, maybe it’s ‘default’ layout . By default, ‘Modern’ style goes with ‘onepage’ layout which doesn’t include ‘component’ content.
October 10, 2013 at 5:20 am #508555The problem with that change is that everything else disappears… is there some way to keep Modern style with onepage layout and show components??

October 10, 2013 at 9:36 am #508582You can check layout tab of ‘Metro’ theme to know which layout it’s using, then assign the same layout to ‘Modern’ theme.
Another solution is that you change in code. Please take a look at this screenshot:
If ‘Modern’ theme in your site is using ‘Onepage’ layout, then you open block ‘onepage.php’ (in templatesja_onepagetplsblocks) and add code that loads component content:
<jdoc:include type="component" />
October 28, 2013 at 10:39 pm #510441I am unable to view a component using the add menu item…is there a fix for this??

HiHere is what I changed in backend of your site:
– In template manager: I duplicate the default style and we have a new style named: JA Onepage – Modern (2)
– Open this new style: in Layout tab, I change to use default layout, then assign this style to test fb menu item in Assignment tab.
You can take a look at this and let me know if this helps.

It should be the same situation, please try to assign above style to menu item that article belongs to, otherwise it will take the layout of default style.
