I am new to Joomla.I tried to add a new menu item to the Main Menu of the Menu Manager. However, I could not replicate the same menu item like the Sample Content menu in the demo. The new menu item I created only shows the frontpage. The right column (ja-tabs and user5) are not shown. I tried to change the parameters #Leading, #Intro, Column and Links. However those parameters only control the how to articles are shown in the frontpage. It does not show the masscol.. Can someone help? Thanks.

July 29, 2007 at 9:54 pm #225557Have you read the template user guide?
July 29, 2007 at 11:24 pm #225559Yes. The template user guide just gives direction on how to configure menu type such as JA Slit Menu. It shows how to disable the original Joomla menu which I already did. It also shows how to configure 2 part of JA News. This is my set up for Home # Leading = 0, # Intro=0., Columns=1
# Links=0.Maybe I am missing something but I don’t see it shows how to configure a add another menu item. Basically, I want to have a separate menu on the main menu for each of “SPORTS”, “ENTERTAINMENT”, etc. I got it set up but some how it only show like a wapper every time I click on those menu item on the top menu. I want it look like the Masscol + just like the “Sample Content” on the demo menu.

July 30, 2007 at 3:06 am #225565If you want the same items on the right hand side to show on all pages and not just the front page, you have to make sure you publish those modules to Ja-tabs, user 5, left, and right.
You can set which pages to show the modules on in the module paramaters settings. If you want them to show on all pages, select all in the settings.ErikThorsen FriendErikThorsen

July 30, 2007 at 9:52 am #225607Now I am lost. 😀 I am new to Joomla and CMS thing. Let me try to figure it out how to set those parameters. I guess you’re talking about JA news module? Thank you very much for your time.

July 30, 2007 at 7:40 pm #225674There is very good documentation on how to use Joomla on the Joomla Help Site
The links to the user guides are to the left. I highly suggest you take a look at them, as you will learn what you need to know by reading them. -
