Hi,
I am using JA Dravity for Joomla 1.5.3 at http://koreantalk.com
I want to add one large column above two right side column.
I guess I’ll need new module position?
How can I do that?Thanks 🙂

August 2, 2008 at 2:31 pm #263536You can add a new module position in the templateDetails.xml for that template, but you will also have to add the new position code to the index.html and style it in template_css.css. Not a huge job if you know what you are doing, but if you don’t know what you are doing I would find another solution.

All Joomla users are NOT gurus like you 😉Hi friend,
If you don’t know what I am talking about you are best off not trying to modify your template, or hire someone to do it.The info I gave you was pretty basic stuff to understand but I will explain further.
It won’t do any good adding a new module position to the templateDetails.xml if the position is not already coded into the index.php. To further complicate matters, if you were able to add the code to index.php and add the new position to templateDetails.xml, you would still need to assign a css style to it in order to make it play nice with the rest of the template. So you would need to make that style and add it to the template_css.css file.
See where I’m going here?
You really need at least basic coding skills to do what you want to do.
If someone in this forum has already done this mod and sees this thread, you may get an easy copy & paste solution for your template modification request, but what you are asking for is an unsupported support question and may not get a formal responce.
Try posting this in the template modification requests forum. You may get a better responce.
Good luck with your site.

August 3, 2008 at 12:45 am #263573Hi
Paid requests are here: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/forum/paid-requests-new/
You could also try to PM Menalto: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/changing-ja-highslide-or-thumb-like-this/ He is very adept at these things and I am sure he will be able to do the job quickly.
You can also take a look in this forum: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/forum/template-modification-submissions-new/August 3, 2008 at 2:00 am #263578instantinlaw;71227Hi
