November 30, 2011 at 8:59 pm #171310I was hoping to be able to add modules to my search results page and was wondering if this is possible. Alternatively, could I create a page (article) with all my modules, and then have my results displayed into a custom module position in the main body of that page. Not sure if either of these approaches are do-able but I thought I’d ask. Thanks!

So u need to add modules in search results page ? or in standart joomla module positions?
Better way is to create a new module position inside the search so u manage them quickly and they will display in every page of search, and search results… If you want to add modules to your articles u can use Modules Anywhere…

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like a good recommendation, I’m just not sure how to go about it. For my search page I created an article which I then added my standard modules (ex. breadcrumbs, side menu, top banner) and then added the search fields in a custom module position within the content area. Here’s the link, http://www.summited.org/what-we-do/training-consulting/search-trainings.html. But when you click search, the “results” load in a separate page with no modules. What I would like is for the breadcrumbs, side-menu and top banner to remain on the results page. I hope this clarifies what I’m trying to accomplish. Thanks again!

Yeap thats the main problem that i had about 1-2 weeks ago… and i have solved it by adding module positions inside the component by a php code because u cant add a template module position into a component… anyway i can do it for you…
