Hi,

I was wondering how to add product categories to the horizontal menu at the top and have them work like drop down menu’s ?

yup

enable category links in your virtuemart module so you can get the links
then go to your mainmenu and create a URL Link menu item
copy the link for each category into its own menu URL link item, make them all children of say your all categories or all products page
after you have made the links and menu items, go back to your virtuemart module and disable the catalog links

now you will have the product cats dropdowns from your main menu
