    I want to add a youtube video on the right of my template, is there a component or module for this in this template?

    Dear zoutmedia,

    Just create a custom module, add your youtube video code and assign it to the right position,I think you don’t need an extension for that.

    How do you mean create a custom module? How do I do that?
    And where do I add my youtube video then?

    Dear zoutmedia,

    Go to your back-end >> Extensions >> module manager ,here click on the New button,select the custom HTML,enter your html code into the field of Custom Output
    .
    You can search on the net to find a HTML Code for the youtube video.

    I did it all but it doesn’t work. I am in the custom html and entering in custom output the following html code

    <object width=”200″ height=”143″><param name=”movie” value=”https://www.youtube.com/v/i4Cc04iBEhA?fs=1&hl=nl_NL&rel=0″></param><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”></param><param name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always”></param><embed src=”https://www.youtube.com/v/i4Cc04iBEhA?fs=1&hl=nl_NL&rel=0″ type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true” width=”200″ height=”143″></embed></object>

    When I toggle the editor it hits back to normal again and I see a youtube window in the screen, but then when I click on save and look at the frontpage I see no youtube video. Then when I go back to the module again the html code is changed in the following one automatically….

    <p>*</p>
    <p>
    <param name=”movie” value=”https://www.youtube.com/v/i4Cc04iBEhA?fs=1&hl=nl_NL&rel=0″ />
    <param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true” />
    <param name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always” /></p>
    <p>*</p>

    What to do…anyone??

    Hi,

    just try to switch off the editor for testing.
    Go to your admin profile and choose no editor. Go back to your module and post the code in the text area. Save it and preview it.
    Let us know what happend.

    Cheers

    Hi,

    Please provide us your login details to your administrator account in your current ticket.
    Also post them embed code for your video to this ticket.

    I will take a look at this today.

    Cheers

    Hi There,

    Well, it should work by now. So how did i solved it?
    1. Changed editor to “None”
    2. Go to Articles Manager
    3. Choosen “Options”
    4. Go to “Text filters”
    5. Set Super Users to “no filtering”
    6. Go back to the module and paste the code

    Et voila, it should work 🙂

    Cheers

    It works but it doesn’t fit in the right module position, it has limits in size i think or…? So it needs to stand somewhere else…?

    Exactly, the position is too small for this video. You should think about another position as it wont make fun or sense to watch this video in the current size 🙂
