Dear Sir

In the JA FUBIX template demo there are an option at the top-right corner of each module that for the whats trending now module it enables you to change the layout of item shown and for the must see now videos it allows you to slide to new items available to navigate between them.

See screenshot for what i mean.

How to enable it? Because when i installed my template. I didnt get this as default installation. Thanks.

Hi,

You can configure to get the layouts of What’s trending now (Articles Category module) like the capture: http://static.joomlart.com/images/userguide/ja_templates/ja_fubix/ca1.png

The Must see videos, you just need to enable the Navigation button in the module’s backend like: http://static.joomlart.com/images/userguide/ja_templates/ja_fubix/video3.png

unfortunaetly am using joomla 3.1.5 and screenshots are for joomla 2.5.9 and the backend options are not the same.

Hi 261284,

In this case, you can install a demo of JA Fubix template J3.x via our demo builder at http://joomweb.com/. After installing, you can use your activated admin to log in and compare the module’s settings (JA Content Popup and Articles Category module).

I have request for an installation in the demo builder, and its been one day now am still waiting for it to send me my confirmation by mail.

If i pm you my login cant you see whats the problem with the module, because the problem is stagnant and causing me issue. Please help.

You know, we still recommend you to get used with the Joomla 3.x backend with our userguides of captures on J2.5.x version, because almostly, two versions of Joomla just have a different interface of backend while all settings/options are the same.

Dear Sir

I do understand your point, but i did what you just mentioned long before hand, i compared the settings of the two version.

Look for example in Must See Videos module the option “Show Nav Control” is nowhere to be found in the backend settings for Joomla 3.1.5 as well as the option “Alternative Layout”

I dont know if am wrong but i search almost 5 times for these options but cant find them.

Hi,

After checking the modules (LES DERNIÈRES NOUVELLES , VIDÉOS BUZZ) on your website, i realized that you are using the same K2 content module type, not Articles Category and JA Content Popup module. That is the reason you don’t get the additional options on the front-end of these two modules.

To prove my answer, you can see on the JA Fubix template demo with K2 demo at: http://joomla-templates.joomlart.com/ja_fubix/index.php/en/hot-news-k2 . There are no additional options of WHAT’S TRENDING NOW and MUST SEE VIDEOS, because they are the K2 content modules.

ok.Now i understand.I will benefit from the options only if i just joomla default articles not k2. But can it be made available for k2 also? because all my articles will be in k2. at least for the Must See Video module can navigation be place with some tweak?

You know, your requirement belongs to the customization request which is not under our limited customization support policies, so that I suggest you to work or hire an experienced developer to help you handling this complicated developments.

Indeed, the additional option buttons on Articles Category module ‘s front-end are the overridden “features” layout we created for this module on JA Fubix template. You can open templatesja_fubixhtmlmod_articles_categoryfeatures.php file, find lines from 15-42th that contain the features layout you and your developer can refer to apply on K2 content module.
