How do I add/remove sections to the news module ?
If you look at my site for example (http://www.chameleonews.com) the “Entertainment” section is not inside these. I’d like to add it. And maybe remove something else.

I am referring to the Ja-news-1, Ja-news-2, Ja-news-3

1. which you want to remove and which you want to add, please advice. better provide a screenshot of how it should be.

Are you referring Health , world, technology ?

Hi,
Maybe my explain was a little bit raw, sorry bout that. I just mentionet ja news 1,2,3 to let you know of what module I am referring to.
I know you got the point about the module. So what I want to do – for example – is get Arts out and put in Entertainment.
Let me know if I’m am not being clear, I am sorta new to Joomla… sry bout that.

Just try Disabling the Arts Section in Content -> Section Manager.

Just to make it clear, I plan on having news in the Arts section, so I’m not looking to disable the Arts section, I’m just looking to pull out the news thread from that specific module, and replace it with Entertainment news. I would like to know how it’s done, as I need to do this for other sections as well.

Thanks for the quick reply but I don’t think that’s going to do what I want with the module. It will surely not take the news from my renamed thread. I need instead of the news from Arts (which I don’t currently have any) to take news from Entertainment (I do have news in that). Renaming will surely still take news from Arts, which I don’t consider that important. Any other suggestion ?

Go to Extension -> Module Manager -> JA News – Default Layout

There you will have the Content Settings Tab in the right column

In that you will Select Categories . This is a multi select options and there you can select/deselect the section you want.

you can deselect the Arts and select the Entertainment.
