I posted a generic approach on how this could be done.
Otherwise, they are position modules; as configured some of them, the height adjust automatically to the modules you add in these positions. One of them is fixed.
If you know stylesheets, you find the appropriate tags and change these in the respective CSS. Menalto provided a more specific way in response to a questbg (Chris) question similar to yours. It got solved but the fix itself was not published???? Ask them.
