Hi Developer

1. Im new to JAK2. I have started understanding how it works a little and have faced a problem. In your manual you say that I need to upload an extracted file to add new theme for K2 Filter.

Well, I can not see com_k2 folder in the root catalogue.

Would you please have a look whether I have installed all parts of the module.

2. Also, when trying to search by Extra Fields, I get some unrelated K2 articles in the search, but not the right ones. I guess its smth with configs. Again please help.

Hi Vlad,

1. The right path of com_k2 folder is: components/com_k2/templates

You can check out this documentation fore more info about JA K3 filter theme: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-component/ja-k2-filter#custom-layout
K2 Filter theme is just an additional for appearance, JA K2 filter still works without this part.

2. You can send me FTP credential of your site via PM, I’ll help you to debug and resolve this issue.

Hello,

I have checked your site and helped you to solved issues below:
– Filter does not work correctly. To resolve this issue, I have update config of sh404 component to enable .htaccess rewrite mode

– Layout does not display correctly. This issue occurred because in K2 setting, you have disabled setting to load K2 stylesheet, and use jQuery 1.11. I have updated to use jQuery 1.8 and enable setting to load K2 style.

One more problem. I can not get Chinese items come up after I search.
Ive tried playing with settings but to no avail.

Hello,

I have checked your site, this issue occurred because it can not get language tag of current language, it return en-GB even I am on Chinese page.
So it is return empty result because it will search English item in Chinese category.

The code to get current language tag is standard function of Joomla, and it should work in normal site

[PHP]JFactory::getLanguage()->getTag();[/PHP]

I’m not sure which 3rd extension is the cause of this issue, I’ll report to dev team to investigate more about this issue, and I will update to you when we have any new info.

I have just checked your site, Everything seem work properly in Chinese page now, form is displayed and assigned correctly, query statement is correct. Do you yourself resolve this issue?

Please make sure that you have assigned items and categories to display in Chinese (or All language), since I can’t log into your site’s back-end now.
