hi,
i have a problem with my template since i cleaned my JAT3 Cash. i really dont know what happend, but eversince i cleaned the cash the right modules aint showing at the right anymore, but under the featured article!? plus the feautured article itself looks strange and not correctly anymore. the text is small and is not going throught the hole area anymore. its not the article itself, i have tried adding new articles as featured and the same things happened….
can some one tell me what happened or what i did wrong?thanks so much, this is driving me insane already…:((

September 25, 2011 at 10:08 pm #414916well that is the problem. cleaning the cash itself wouldnt cause this, but as i have only cleaned it after updating & editing content, modules etc. i cant really tell what caused this problem.
why would the complete right position pass under the featured article and why is the featured article being shown in tiny letters?i have tried unpublishing different modules to see if it would make any change, but until it didn’t make any difference…:((
thanks for helping
EDIT: if you compare the top text + the bottom one you can see that they look actually different

September 25, 2011 at 10:14 pm #414917Generally, when you see a misalignment of one of the columns like that, it is usually do to a width issue of the main content area adjacent to the column. Did you, perhaps, play around with this element?
September 25, 2011 at 10:17 pm #414918no, as i said. i didn’t do anything at all with the template itself….
EDIT: actually once i disactivate the featureded article the right modules gets back into their right position..i dont know if that helps

Check the formatting of your featured article (i.e. spacing, images, etc.)September 25, 2011 at 10:37 pm #414926i just made a new one with this in it, nothing else:
Test text here

it still shows me the text in small letters and with the modules at the wrong position

September 25, 2011 at 10:43 pm #414927Within your TEMPLATE MANAGER . . ..
- In the Layouts panel click the Edit link for any of the layouts you would like to edit. This opens the layout editor you can see below.
- Step 2 – Customize the layout using the internal editor. Click here to find out how.
- Step 3 – Click the Save button in the internal editor to save the layout.
Please note: By editing core template layouts, the framework will create layout overrides in the local layouts folder (user setup).
( from the JA T3 Wiki )
Check the “colwidth” of both your main content and the right column – see if changing the percentage number makes a difference.

Does it look like there is an overlap?September 27, 2011 at 9:22 am #415227hi,
unfortunately i am still struggling with the same problem… i have does anybody have any ideas how to fix this?
thanks a lotEDIT: PS: I just found out that the problem must have to do something with the menu or “featured articles”…
when i change the “HOME” menu item type from “Featured Articles” to “Single Article” for example the site alignment works fine, but once i change it back to “Featured Articles” the modules get align under the main content, plus the text itself seems to be in a different format than the article itself….Manos ModeratorManos

September 27, 2011 at 6:50 pm #415354Hi,
Can you post a link to your site? I can only guess that there might be a problem with a non closing tag ( maybe a
or something) but i have to see the problem to be able to help you even more!
September 29, 2011 at 7:53 am #415623hi Pascm,
i ended up reordering the structure of my site. as i don’t need the “featured article” itself, i change switched the home button link to one single article and now everything looks fine. the problem still exists, but its ok as its not interfering at the moment.
thanks a lot anyway
December 27, 2011 at 2:10 pm #431373Hi,
i have exactly the same problem. Can you please have a look at my site: http://www.amsterdamer-kroepfer.de/jupgrade ?
Thanks!
January 31, 2012 at 1:44 am #436257I have the same problem. I “solved” it on the front page by using a single article instead of featured article. Now I’m having problems on a page with a booking component. Can you look here: http://www.kchousepainter.com The page with the problem is: http://www.kchousepainter.com/onlineestimatebooking
