May 16, 2014 at 9:29 am #197843Again the site is messed-up now when I tried to change the template profile to Blue in the template admin.
I won’t do a site restore until someone had a look and maybe can tell me what’s going on.
Thanks in advance.

May 16, 2014 at 10:17 am #535419Hi there,
In your configuration.php please try changing
public $live_site = ”;
to
public $live_site = ‘http://www.mahersphoto.ie’;
then clear your Joomla cache, your browser cache and test your site once again.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Alex

May 16, 2014 at 10:31 am #535421Hi,
Did the change to configuration.php
public $live_site = ‘http://www.mahersphoto.ie’;
Cleared cache for Google chrome and Joomla also tried different browsers like IE & Firefox
But no change still the same.
Grtx Rick.
On that note
Within the Template Manager: Edit Style – Theme Settings are not clickable:

May 16, 2014 at 10:31 pm #535484I have to do a restore because I need to work on the site won’t do a style edit to blue but still needed.
If a mod would like to test i’ll need to make a back-up first of the working version.Rick Bisschop FriendRick Bisschop

May 19, 2014 at 11:31 am #535687Please check out your site now. We’ve assigned it the “blue” stile per your request now. Don’t forget to clear T3 cache every time you tweak the site configuration.
Hope this helps
Regards,
Alex

May 19, 2014 at 12:00 pm #535689Thanks Alex,
Just had a quick look and all good so far made a back – up just in case. I saw a few DB’s in my cPanel can I delete them accept for the one the site uses of course. And if possible can I ask what changes did you made, tried the JA_Tiris template back-end that’s still the same not possible to change to an other color/profile but I am happy it’s set to blue now.
Thanks again,
Rick.alexsmirnov Friendalexsmirnov

May 19, 2014 at 5:24 pm #535736Hi Rick,
We’ve done nothing extra ordinary on your system, just set the “Optimize CSS” parameter to “No”, cleared cache pressing the “JAT3 Clean Cache” button for you and set the blue style in your template manager, as you asked.
I don’t know the exact reason why your JA Tiris Quick Start goes CSS-less every time the “Optimize CSS” parameter is set to any option but “No” (which by default, out of the box is set to “Linked files”) but I have tested this Quick Start installation extensively both on your server (as you noticed) and on my own local and remote LAMP sandboxes and this scenario persists only on your server.
So, I strongly advise you either consult your hosting as to why it is not properly configured or keep the “Optimize CSS” always to “No”, or just leave this dodgy host for a more Joomla compatible one.
Regarding the databases and tests sites that I’ve installed in the sub-folders on your server while working on your issue, please feel free to delete them but please do contact me in case you decide to keep one or more of them and I’ll be more than happy to send you credentials for database(s) and Joomla Super User(s) login.
Hope this helps,
Regards
Alex

May 20, 2014 at 4:06 pm #535912Hi again,
I think the JA Tiris template isn’t suitable for Joomla! 3.2.4 Stable [ Ember ] 30-April-2014 14:00 GMT as I installed the “JA Tiris Quick Start ” once more on a different hosting platform and the result is exactly the same. Okay JA Tiris template is flagged as compatible with Joomla 3.1 and seems okay until I do the offered Joomla update to Joomla! 3.2.4.

May 20, 2014 at 4:20 pm #535917Hi Rick,
Could you please describe what exactly happens when you update your Joomla to version 3.2.4? You mentioned “the same”. Does it mean that upon updating Joomla to version 3.2.4 your front end goes CSS-less on you again?
If Yes, does it mean that, as it was with the previous scenario, only setting the “Optimize CSS” to “No” brings the CSS back?
Regards,
Alex

Yes your right Alex when I do the Joomla update it goes to CSS-less after I tried to edit the template to blue and I am not able to set “Optimize CSS” to “No” to fix it it just doesn’t save the changes.
Rick.
