October 19, 2010 at 9:26 pm #155445We have installed the latest Agora, 3.0.137 Olympus, along with joomla 1.5.20 and JA Social 1.2.0
We have integrated the jasocial agora template to the Agora system and we are presented with a mootool error.
In every page whereas a slider button is added (eg forum index) we get an error from mootools of the form:
Message: ‘this.element’ is null or not object
Line: 65
Char: 649
Code: 0
URI: http://www.mycompany.com/media/system/js/mootools.jsMessage: The object does not support this property or method
Line: 660
Character: 1
Code: 0
URI: http://www.mycompany.com/index.php?option=com_agora&Itemid=103&lang=el&time=1287523070The code that generates the error is the addslider function of agora, which creates the slider up/down arrows for forum headers.
There is no other mootools loaded on the page. The error occurs only in IE, not @ Mozilla or Chrome

October 19, 2010 at 10:29 pm #359603Are you getting the same problem if you switch to a different template? Just trying to rule out modules or other extensions.

Found the culprit… a flash file that has been embedded within the page…

Excellent news and thanks for resolving your thread.November 19, 2010 at 6:20 am #363376Ja Social quickstart out of the box, Im getting this error when trying to load the Agora forum page. The browser says: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete
Script: http://dreamvotes.com/t3-assets/jsbbfd8.js?v=1:1929
This is with the mtupgrade plugin enabled. I do not get this message when the mtupgrade plugin is not enabled. K2, however, doesn’t seem to work as well without the mtupgrade plugin:(
