Where is support for the Agora Forum that you included in the JA Social Template?

The links in the admin area are broken and give a 404 page not found.

There is no mention of Agora on the root domain of the broken link. I can’t locate any support forum here.

    This is my issue…..

I have installed the Agora Forum and selected the option for jomsocial integration. The issue I am having is that the avatar for the forum posts are not pulling from the avatar set in the jomsocial users profile.

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Richard Wing

Agora is a third party component and JA can only provide support for the template that was included. If you are having trouble with the JA template then we can help, if you are struggling with Agora issues then you will have to ask on th Agora support forums – http://dev.anything-digital.com/Forum/Agora-Forum/

What makes it harder for us is when the template was released, Agora was a free component and had been for a long time. Without warning the Agora team made it a commercial component forcing JA to remove it from the quickstart etc. That was beyond JA’s control/

Hello Phill, Based on your comment “Without warning the Agora team made it a commercial component forcing JA to remove it from the quickstart etc. That was beyond JA’s control”, which forum would you recommend to use for best integration with JASocial and Jomsocial ? From the forum post, I see several users that have removed Agora and installed Kunena.

Thank sfor your advice or recommendations.

    Regards.

I use Kunena myself but JA do not have a dedicated theme to fit JA social for it. I use it with JA Community Plus and it works very well but have note tested it with JA Social. There is a third party theme available for Kunena that is styled specifically for JA Social. It is quite cheap and you may want to look at that. The default Kunena theme does look OK in Social but the purchased one looks better.
