June 19, 2008 at 5:11 pm #129885Hi,
I have just upgraded to using mod_ja_news 1.3.1. In the older version 1.1.1 I found that category tabs showing in two columns would auto align to give a more pleasing look (IMO). It looked like padding was introduced to align them. Now if a title or link in the left column wraps to two lines it can throw the whole alignment out across both columns.
Does anyone have a solution to this?

June 20, 2008 at 9:54 am #254934Hi ,
Thanks for your interest in this question. My site is on an internal development server. But you can get an understanding of my question by comparing the ja teline demo site with the ja teline ll demo site. I believe the ja teline demo is running with an older version of ja_news and ja teline ll is using 1.3.1.
http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_teline
http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_teline_ii
If you look at the category tabs on the original teline site they are horizontally aligned across the two columns even though some of the titles wrap to two lines and some of the links also wrap to two lines. ie there is some padding process?
In the teline ll demo the tabs are aligned but I think that is because someone had made sure no titles or links wrap to create extra lines. Using the the ja_news 1.3.1 it appears that I need to make sure that all titles and links need to wrap in the same way.

June 24, 2008 at 11:07 am #255797Hi onboom,
I see you are using ja-news on your Quang ba website. Are you aligning your category tabs automatically or manually? Your site layout looks good by the way.

Hi macca,
I use Ja news 1.2.1 for Quang ba website portal. Ja news 1.2.1 or older version which support align categories automatically.
With Ja news 1.3.x, Ja support team must fix this problem.tdobrowolski Friendtdobrowolski

November 24, 2008 at 8:49 am #280092No it is still unresolved. Shame because it worked well in 1.1.1.

Yes it did.
Does 1.1.1 work with Joomla 1.5? If it does, i will change to 1.1.1. If it doesn´t work with J1.5, i don´t really know, what to do.

November 24, 2008 at 9:08 am #280096Yes, I’ve only run Teline I with mod_ja_news 1.1.1 and 1.3.1 on J1.5.

Yes, let´s try to get some help. At the moment i have to go throught every article and make sure, that all the titles and images of the articles have same height, that they won´t corrupt the layout. It is very frustrating job, so lets hope to get some help. I am ready to hack some code like crazy, but the problem is, that i dont know where, and how to do that.

December 9, 2008 at 1:20 am #281841It would be great if the alignment of the two columns was two at a time instead of funneled on top of each other.
