    Hello everybody,
sometimes when I add an article to my website, my left and right modules are going into the middle of my home page, what can I do?
A picture say more than 1.000 words here is my “normal home page “:

Here is the problem when I add some articles with a read more option :
    http://www.willemsens.net/problem.jpg

As you can see, the left module with the photos galeries is under the articles in the center of the page and it’s exactly the same for my right modules with Search, Date and Time and Weather.

I thank you in advance for your answer.

It’s a bit hard to see what the problem is whithout access to the page, but I would look at the link to those articles. For instance, it loks like the template is not loading. That’ usually done by changing the links from index.pho?etc. to index2.php. That loads the page without template.

It could be a number of other causes, but I would post the same issue, with access to the site at least (front end) in the Joomla forum. But first go toyour template manager and make sure that you only have one template selected.

I would think that is that you are copy and pasting from editors such as microsoft word resulting in useless tags in your html. copy and paste the things you want into a plain text editor and then paste into the joomla editor and see if it helps.

also, if you could give the url to your site, it would be much easier for us to help.

I think jsliao is on to something. I Have seen plenty of Joomla templates broken up by pasted MS Word code. Always best to paste into notepad first and then into Joomla. It’s usually due to misalligned tags.

Ok, thanks everybody. I fix it.
I’ve been into the html code of JCE and one </div> was not at the right place, just after the read more… also plenty of misalligned tags where into the text.
I though by doing everything into JCE it was fine, well I’ll have to do it with html instead of just cutting and pasting text.
Due to the languages, in Joomfish I took the original french version and after that I made the changes, there too it was fine after that.

    Hi guys,

When you create an article, please make sure that you are using right html mark up and aren’t using MS Word to copy and paste. It will break your html markup and site will be broken.
