Hi all, I’m using telineII on a J1.5.10.
I’m trying to enjoy the plugin (1.0Beta2) directly into an article.
I read and read the official documentation at http://allvideos.fritz-elfert.de but what’s suggested there doesn’t work for me.
Maybe the documentation is related to the last package (http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/allvideos15/frs/ ) and not for the plugin bluilt-in telineII.

Actually, I can set just a few flash parameter via article tag such as autostart=”true”, showstop=”false” and so on but it just ignore parameter about image preview!
I simply want that the flv local video just show the first frame and stay stopped awaiting for user play action.

I even tried to specify {flvimg=”segeln-preview.jpg” showstop=”true”}Segeln-20070428-Start{/flv} as specified here http://allvideos.fritz-elfert.de/local-content.html?start=10 without success: it’s not parsed at all by the plugin -it’s showed in the article-
I tried to specify {flv img} tag, separed by blank and the plugin parser simply ignore it (view the page source).

All it seems that the plugin is an old version or documentation is for newer only.

So I ask you all: how can I have a video in an article that doesn’t start automatically and show me an image preview or simply the first video frame?

And, could I install the com_avreloaded from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/allvideos15/frs/ ? (it’s 1.2.5 version)

Does it alter the behaviour of the telineII original video module?

I’m afraid, version 1.0beta2 did not support that. You probably should update to the latest version. I don’t know if that’s possible with ja_teline_ii without breaking anything -> Ask the ja_teline creators.

This is an SVN-Id, automatically generated by my SCM system. It contains the exact release number of this particular file.

Above, i have marked this red.

According to the changelog of my SCM, Support for the img-attribute was added in release 801. The popup stuff was added much later and for that, you definitively need the whole component (because there’s a component view involved).

So: If this number in your file is at least 801, you do have support for preview images.

If JA did a clean job (which i assume), then you should be able to upgrade without problem. Just install com_avreloaded-1.2.6.zip which includes the content-plugin as well as all the other stuff, no need to uninstall the old plugin first …

Please let us know what you find out as I would love to have the player generate an image. Right now I have to create a seperate image and it’s very time consuming. Hope this works! 🙂

Did you try the upgrade yet? Just would like to know if you had any problems with new version. Looks like if you are only at 711 you need to upgrade to at least 801 to see image?

I just checked my file avreloaded.php at it is old version like yours -> $Id: avreloaded.php.in 711 2008-01-22 02:04:16Z Fritz Elfert $

This means we need to Update to new version to be at least 801 to get image to show in the begining of the Video.

Did you try this upgrade yet? Sorry to bother you but I didn’t want to write to JA support if you have already done so.
