If you are struggling to work out how to apply the xml file as earlier you have a couple of other options the simplest being

    (flv img=”yourimage.png”}yourflv{/flv}

and put you image in images/stories (I think)

I prefer to use the xml file as I tend to have quite a few parameters.

So you are using the module supplied with teline 2?

Did you change the module? You should have a line along the lines of <blockquote>{auto height=”300″ displayheight=”235″}playlist.php{/auto}</blockquote> in there.

Do you have a file called playlist.php in your videos folder?

With that you should be able to just add your video to the stories/videos folder and an image which must be the same name as a .jpg or .gif in the images/stories/videos/thumbnails folder

Is the code located in the template css file?

The above code was for if you are using the standard avr module so do not worry about it.

If you PM me a login I can take a look if you wish

Swap your playlist.php file with the one attached (unzip it first).

    1. playlist.zip

In order to open the file i hadto open it with dreamweaver now it appears as a dreamweaver file and is not recognised in the file manager of joomla

No, you have to upload it via ftp.

Extract the file with winzip then just upload it via ftp.

    Worked thanks to
    phill luckhurst
    ccvpguy

    also
    sbaldwin
    joeflynn

    for getting to this point.

conclusion — trying to get the module to pick up an automatically created image appears is not yet viable.

Solution with the help of these people above and others in various forums, the solution was to upload a thumbnails measuring the dimensions of 300x 225 pixels wide and high and upload it to the video thumbnails folder..

In my case i also hadto get the original playlist document and upload this also to the folder.

Also hadto remane the jpeg file as stated before

    thax

I would be odd if i didnt ask here is it possible to create two thumbnails for whatever video is located in the player or is it just one.
