    Hi,
    Alt tag slide show
    Hawkstore
    XAMPP

    It’s a pity that you lost some data. In that time I had also a request and shall bring him again.

    I will put alt tags by the pictures in slideshow, the pictures are
    sl1-bg, sl2-bg and sl3-bg

    I have read the manual that’s not clear enough for me.

    Can you tell me where I can put the alt tags for those pictures?

    Kindest regards Cees

    Hi @ceesdu,

    If you open module JA Slideshow Lite, you will see that under each image, there’s an Edit button. In image Edit panel, you will see Description field and content here will be used as Image alt text.

    Hi Adam perhaps I make a mistake but that don’t work, i send you some screen shots. I believe that this option is for put text in the picture and not for an alt tag.

    Kindest regards Cees

    Dear Adam,

    Your solution is not a solution it’s possibility. I don’t want white lines in my pictures. I will know where I can find this:
    Than I have a solution without white lines in my pictures but I can’t find the script. >:(

    Hi @ ceesdu,

    You misunderstood my answer. I mean the description text will automatically be used as image alternative text (by default, this description text is displayed in the slideshow as well), we haven’t provided parameter to let you input custom alternative text yet.

    If you can provide your site url, it would help me understand your problem and provide better answer here.

    Hi Adam,

    I make it in XAMPP but i have that problem also on my live site also Hawkstore the URL is http://www.laongvivah.com

    I understand that you will have a text in the pictures and use that text as Alt, but I don’t want any text in the pictures and also no white lines.

    Kind regards Cees

    Hi Cees,

    In this case, you can type alt text in description field, then open file root_folder/templates/ja_hawkstore/css/custom.css (if you don’t have this file, just create a new one) then add this code :

    #t3-slideshow .ja-ss-desc {
    display: none;
    }

    Save your file and recheck.

    Hi Adam,

    I have an Alt text, and no Alt text,
    Google have a problem with the NO Alt text (look image) it looks that we talk about two pictures with the name sl1-bg that count also for the other pictures. Can you tell me where I can find the script I send to you in a mail before then I put there the Alt text?

    Kind regards Cees

    Hi Cees,

    Please check my previous reply for more detail.

    1. If you open module JA Slideshow Lite, you will see that under each image, there’s an Edit button. In image Edit panel, you will see Description field and content here will be used as Image alt text. (see screenshot).

    2. Open file root_folder/templates/ja_hawkstore/css/custom.css (if you don’t have this file, just create a new one) then add this code :

    #t3-slideshow .ja-ss-desc {
    display: none;
    }

    Save your file, go to front-end then you will see the alt text in the image.
