Try to change it to another proper text like “Alternative text for image 1” or anything else and recheck. If you still get a problem with this function, please provide a temporary back-end account via private reply, I will investigate the issue for you.

I managed to change the description text without any problem and it does applied as alt for your images, please recheck.
