June 9, 2010 at 8:02 am #151684Hi guys.
i am using the main menu with type “dropline menu” and the plugin (Content- PDF-Embed, Link: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/external-contents/documents/5327). the plugin uses the adobe reader pluginwhen i just click on the menu and would like to open the last menu item
the pdf-plugin overlay this.look at the attachment.
the red line demonstrate the whole area of the first menu item.the problem is only in internet explorer 8 (7?).
in firefox 3.5 there is no problem.changing the z-index in the css-files and <embed>-object brings no solution.

June 11, 2010 at 9:43 am #346750Dear dankumc!
Here is the solution for you:
<blockquote>Editing HTML code manuallyTo edit an existing HTML page, add the WMODE parameters to the HTML code.
1. Add the following parameter to the OBJECT tag:
<param name=”wmode” value=”transparent”>
2. Add the following parameter to the EMBED tag:
wmode=”transparent”
</blockquote>

June 11, 2010 at 10:21 am #346755hi. i tested this – but no change. that works only for flash-files. no pdf-files. ok!?
the question of your link should be: How to make a pdf-file not with a transparent background but without overlaying menus.
an alternative is the ajax document viewer (http://www.ajaxdocumentviewer.com/).
this a server component. i dislike it.any other ideas? the z-index (from lower to higher numbers) was not the solution.

June 15, 2010 at 7:51 am #347096The best solution for the problem is the open source project flexpaper.
It is a flashbased document-viewer. you just have to generate the pdf-file to swf.AuthorPostsViewing 7 posts - 1 through 7 (of 7 total)This topic contains 7 replies, has 2 voices, and was last updated by dankumc 14 years, 6 months ago.
