    Hi,

maybe I’m a bit pedantic but this smal issue sucks…

I open my site http://www.effektlabor.de and every time I click on a new menu item it reloads the whole website! If I try that on the Joomlart Demo Site, all the other modules, menus etc. stay in cache and only the content gets reloaded.

After I opened every single menu item once everything is in the cache and the site doesn’t reload completely anymore. But I always have to open every menu item once.

Does anyone have an idea regarding this issue?

    best regards!

But is there any way to keep this from happening on our sites?

Do you mean the joomlart demo view (http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php) where I can select the different templates per dropdown menu? I already deactivated the iframe by right click -> current frame -> only show this frame (firefox).

I also think that my site didn’t reload in former times…

Could this problem be caused by some component or module?

    best regards!

    I got the solution:

In Joomlart Edenite there’s no charset defined (see this thread: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/character-encoding-problem-solution-here/)

So I forced Firefox to automatically define the charset. This caused the permanent reloads for every menu item I clicked.

    regards!

Sloppy coding, eh? And in the copyright notice of Edenite, the name of the template itself is misspelled: “Edentite”. 😉
