We are getting “An error has occured when saving Global Settings..” error when saving template settings.
Please help.

We did all those folder permissions. Still no help.
We are able to change the configuration.php through global configuration page. But changes to template not getting saved.
Please help.

Finally got the solution. Its not the configuration.php which needs to be touched for file permissions.
Here “An error has occured when saving Global Settings..” means global settings of template.

We just changed file ownership of /templates/ja_university folder from root to apache.
And problem solved.
