March 5, 2012 at 7:37 am #174617Hi Guys
I get the following error when in my Ja-Tiris Quickstart Installation Joomla 2.5 Template settings, trying to adjust settings e.g. template style, logo:
“An error has occured when saving Global Settings..
Array” :((
I think this could be a premissions issue, but which folder should i set to write ? the templates folder?
Thanks!

March 5, 2012 at 7:49 am #441860Checking System Information / Directory Permissions should give you an overview.
I use Admin Tools from Akeeba to sort permissions problems if there are any. Seems to be about as useful as Akeeba backup is! 🙂
Hope that helps
Bestens

If it is a fresh quickstart install and you can’t save any changes, you could be better off clearing down the directory completely and starting afresh.

*My brain just pinged me. This is a server install or localhost and if localhost is it a mac? Just ask as I had this problem right when I started on my mac – it has some things you need to do to get permissions correct.

March 5, 2012 at 10:46 am #441893Well, i reinstalled it on a different server and boom! it works perfectly, didn’t have to modify any permissions, worked out of the box.
It must be some server settings not complying to it. Thanks for the help! -
