Guys n Gals,

I’ve posted most of this thread in another post and then thought why not start a proper thread for an idea I’ve come up with. I’m not saying this is something JA will take onboard but it might be a start to get our ideas across.

Question to all of you who are reading this thread:

What if we came up with designs (not full sites – just photoshop based designs) that we would like to see and JA could put them into practice.

Of course JA could choose either 1 or 2 of the best designs from the ones submitted each month or bi-monthly (as well as running their own ideas) and develop them into full working templates.

I personally would love to see exactly what everyone is looking for out of a template and this way JA would be satisfying members as well as selling great ideas which members have come up with!! – maybe this could be another way to earn credits to add to your membership? Or maybe this could replace the site of the month poll??

At least this way you will personally be forwarding your thoughts in a positive manner rather than ranting and raving about the newest template that doesn’t meet your expectations.

I probably will get slated mentioning an idea like this but it might be the best way to put across to JA exactly what members are looking for out of a template.

in my opinion this idea is not bad at all. maybe JA could make a template monthly of their own, and the second template one that was suggested by the community in a contest. maybe this would take some pressure for them for releasing two templates, which – in my opinion – has become a problem for some time now. of course they would only save some time on the design. at best. but i’m here with you: maybe the long reuqested “pracitcal” designs (like those of Template Plazza) would emerge.

on the other hand i really doubt that there would be so many contributions, especially high quality ones. but who knows, it would be worth to try it as experimental one-shot.
