December 21, 2010 at 1:17 am #157704If you select linear theme at ja-news-1, and set “intro items” to 2 or more, and set “link items” to 4 or 5, at the frontpage, the “MORE” that shows the :link items” pushes down leaving a white space. The more “intro items” you set, the wider the “MORE” pushes down leaving the gap.
Can anyone test this and confirm

Yes, I can see your point. But for my part, I won’t join you on the barricades for a redesign, I think. The links are aligned with the last of the intros and it looks quite okay in my opinion if there are only enough links to cover the height of that intro. If there are more, they go further down and the result is rather ugly, as shown in the attachment.
I suppose you would prefer the top of the links aligned with the first intro instead? But I would rather use the default version of the ja-newspro module if I needed more than one intro in each section.
So yes, I can confirm what you are saying, but I am not sure I would call it «an issue». 🙂

I am glad that you have seen what I am seeing. Well I think it is unacceptable to have the MORE align with the last intro item. If I have 5 intro items for all the categories in the ja-news-1 then the combined spaces around the module will be a WASTE OF SPACE, we are trying to utulize all the space on the page, so leaving that much space makes it very ugly.
So JA team if you are not making any change, can you help provide a code change so that the MORE aligns with the “NEWEST intro item” and not the last intro item
