I would like to use the Antares with Joomla 1.5.4. But I receive an error message when trying to install the template – enable legacy mode. Please let me know where to find the file for 1.5. Thanks,

maybe stupid question but did you download the right package?

JA Antares for Joomla 1.5 and not JA Antares for Joomla 1.0x ?

That was the first thing I checked and I have downloaded the right file. Even went in and unzipped to make sure? Any other ideas?

If its a new website than you can offcourse also use the quickstart then you wont have this problem. Fastes way to get the template running properly.

Hi,
But this issue is still alive…

The so-called Joomla 1.5 download of ja_antares still insists on legacy mode being enabled.
… if trying to MIGRATE content from a J-1.0.x site, the Quickstart plan is not an option :((

Legacy mode is not good enough… we will need some day (SOON) to NOT run legacy..
… Indeed, Joomla! Dev’s have stated that even legacy mode will NOT even be an option for too much longer… never mind J-1.0.x which is terminal.

PLEASE – Mods – can we have this fixed and an aprpriate download of ja_antares made available.
Or, perhpas an idea HERE for a quick hack / fix…

I have looked at the source – well, a good bit of it – and it LOOKS like a J-1.5 template.
… I simply do not know what the Joomla 1.5 installer sees to make it insist on Legacy mode.

…BTW, Legacy mode does in fact allow for an install.

This matter is now somewhat URGENT.

Hi kobryan !
you can fix the problem following below :
Open templateDetails.xml file in templates/ja_antares folder, find following code line at about line 2 :


<install version="1.3" type="template">


change to :


<install version="1.5" type="template">
