    Hi folks

    Just came across this:
    http://demo.virtuemartjoomlatemplates.com/darkwine/

Which would be absolutely perfect for my next project.

However, I’d rather not pay the extra $90 dollars if JA could come up with a similar functioning template and design!!

    😀

    Thanks
    Chris

I think the JA Mesolite template functions in the same way….its just a real shame its so difficult to change the backgrounds of Joomlart templates to give them a truely unique look and feel.

I tried in vain to alter the background on my site…the badly sliced grey areas left around modules were a nightmare :((

    Cheers mfcphil

Mesolite looks quite good (just playing around with the demo now), but not quite as ‘sexy’ as the other one. I find Mesolite a wee bit ‘clinical’ for foods and wines … great for electrical or computer goods, but food and drink? Not sure!

Maybe with some heavy customisation work (which I was hoping to avoid) 😉

    Thanks
    Chris

If you start with nagya, and heavy modify that one you have a killer site ready soon.
Start with the heavy modifications right away, you cant aviod it….
Its better to have one of a kind than one among the rest.

Just don’t copy mine, this one will go online soon, but not as an adult site…;):D

I read a signature once in another club that said something like that: “A template is just a starting point, what you make out of it can be magic…”

When you want a wine site like that one below, I can do that, but you have to deal with that I will only use content that is Class 1, the wine site you mentioned isn’t quite a lot of work and only with a lot of work one can get better results than the mass…. I will make a wine site and when you like it than you can purchase the FullSource PSD based on the original one, so not like this one where CSS and so on would have to be changed.
