Hi,
This is the third template I have tried from Joomlart.com and I am having the same problem – I can’t change the slogan or the logo text. I have checked the params.ini file and the changes are there but the are not reflected in the web site. I tried an older template (ja_drimia) and that worked fine but both Helio and Edenite are giving me the same problem, I cannot change the slogan or the logo text. I used the quickstart on the Helio template as a last resort and that still did not fix it.
I have cleared cache, cookies and even server cache to no avail. Joomlart.com support logged into my first attempt with the Helio template and got it to work. Since I did not have sample data the template looked nothing like the demo (I figure it is a lot less work to change pages that are already working) so I reinstalled with the Quickstart template and the problem came back. So far support has not shared with me how the got the first install working.
Is anyone else experiencing this. I am using Joomla 1.5.3
Thanks

anbarasanJune 3, 2008 at 10:31 am #251701Hi,
I now understand how this works. Support got back to me and clarified that you have either text or image not both. Here is their response:
We would like to clarify that when you set the logo type = text, then the details of logo text and logo slogan will be rendered. If the logo type = image, then the default logo.gif of template will be rendered.
You can change logo image easily by editing the file template.css (line 816):
h1.logo a {template.css (line 816)
background:transparent url(../images/logo.gif) no-repeat scroll 0%; // replace logo.gif with your new logo
bottom:10px;
display:block;
height:50px;
left:0pt;
position:absolute;
width:235px;
}Thanks Support!

Thanks a lot for your quick support. My new joomla site is now running with the new logo.
Thank you so much 😀
June 6, 2008 at 3:40 pm #252357Hi,
We’ve got our logo showing (by changing the CSS to point to new logo and use new sizes), but the slogan is not showing up.
How do we get logo AND the slogan to appear like in Edenite demo?
Thanks-
