Hi, there.

I want to know if there’s a way (maybe with a hack) to avoid the component to show results for blank search. I mean, in the search field, if the user doesn’t type anything, than the component should show the error message (like: Nothing found, try again). Right now, it shows all the items from all categories selected in the settings.

Hi,

To do this, you can use the function "Pre-filter" from JA K2 Filter module that allows you to configure pre-filter values and when user open the page, it will show the result of the defined pre-filter fields: category, keyword, etc.
