Hello, we’ve just imported about 8000 comments from CComment, but after importing them, all of them are unapproved. If there any way to approve all of these comments without manually doing it?

Also, we just realized that as we’ve been approving comments, the site has been mass mailing thousands of our old commenters!! Is there any way to stop this?

This is a rule of JA Comment. New imported comments will be set to “unapproved” as default. You can check “Select all comments”, then approve them on each comment items page.

You can temporarily turn off all notifications and send email features in General settings of JA Comment in back-end.

Stork11, this is not working. The unapproved comments tab displays no comments when we try to open it. And the when we get past page 60 of the comments on the “ALL” tab, it stops displaying any comments. We were able to display about 3100 of them, but now we cannot approve any more. Could you take a look and see what the problem is?

For your problem with “All” tab on page 60, I checked and didn’t see it. Please see my screenshot.

For the rest, I’m diagnosing JA Comment code on your hosting but haven’t find out reason why problem occurred. I’ll inform you when I find it ASAP.

This is definitely still not resolved. The “Unapproved” tab is displays no comments if you click it.

Also, I also verified that the comments fail to display on the “All” tab as well. For example, if someone click the “End” button to go to the last page, that comments display, but then if you click through the comments page two or three more times using the next and previous buttons, it fails to display any comments. I am including a screenshot:
