Hello, I am working on JA Puresite-see attached

Problem 1: I am using JA Side News module on the front page. It displays three articles. When I click to read the article it appears also in the front page. Instead I want the article to appear in a new window, just by itself.

Problem 2: On the bottom, before the footer section “Home” always appears. I want to get rid of that.

Hope this can be solved 🙂

    Hi there,

Sorry, but you are wrong: your “JA Slide News” opens articles as their own web-pages, which you can see by the article’s URL:

The same opening of a non-front web-page happens when your visitor would click on a web-link in a menu item in your main menu module, or any other non-front page web-link. They can not arrive to your front page clicking on non-front page web-link.

To hide articles parent category in all of your articles heading, please open your front page menu item and set “Show Category” to option “Hide”:

To hide an article category selectively, per single article, please open required article in the article manager and set its “Show Category” to option “Hide”:

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,

    Alex

Thanks Alex for diving in to my problem. I did the changes you mentioned. I am not a very experienced in this field but a fast and enthusiastic learner.
Here is what I would like:
When a visitor comes to my home page (Heim) and wants to click on the “JA Casual” link it should bring him to the article. I want the article to appear by itself, in a new window, not with the other modules. I hope you understand what I am getting at.

    Regards
    Halldor

    P.S.
Alex I figured it out. It was simple: I just went in to the category manager, picked out my category and assigned it to a specific module.

But There is the problem #2 That I do not know how to fix:

When the website is visited there is always this “heim” at the bottom. How can I get rid of that?

    Regards Halldor

    Hello Halldor,

I am glad to see you sorted out how to hide a parent category.

To hide the “Heim” displayed on your screenshot, please open your “Heim” menu item in menu manager -> tab “Page Display” -> parameter “Show Page Heading” -> option “Hide”:

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,

    Alex
