PS : If you want to hide the area , you can hide the date/icons from the menu >article options .

I don’t see the Edit link on any article pages under either Blog or Solutions / Apps menus.

Go to the download page of template Here
Download the fresh template . Unzip it and go to /html/com_content/article/default.php file
replace your site default.php file of article with this original file of template .
Your files seems missing/different code .

Kindly Take backup of site before changes .
