I have tried via the Menu settings and also via the articles default settings to create an article blog layout with one featured article and three intro articles over a three column layout but nothing changes.

    What am I missing?

    Hi tia,

I am not sure that I understand your problem.
Do you mean that you create the Category Blog menu item type with one “Leading Articles” and three “Intro Articles” ?

Please provide some screenshots that could help me understand your problem.

For LATEST section on homepage. It is a Features Articles menu item type. All “Leading Articles” and “Intro Articles” are treat equally. The columns will reflect the columns of LATEST block columns.

For Category Blog layout, the “Leading Articles” will be the big articles, “Intro Articles” will smaller

For Magz Media layout, the “Leading Articles” will be placed on top, “Intro Articles” will show below the line.

And please make sure you clear the system cache, browser cache once you change any setting.

Yes. Or one “Leading Article” and six “Intro Articles” in two rows over three columns. This is my Category Blog page. I have the same problem with the “Featured Articles” layout on the front page.

    Hi codger,

In Category Blog layout, the columns were not used.
All Intro Articles will display as a full single row as in our demo (concept) http://joomla-templates.joomlart.com/ja_magz/index.php/en/news

The Feature Articles should work with “column” as our demo block (LATEST) on homepage.
I also see it has 3 columns on your site. Then what is the problem?

Please pm your admin credential to me to check your settings.

    Hello Wall Crasher,

    Cred sent via PM.
It looks as if there might be a caching issue. I have cleared caches both on the site/server and in the browser, but very little changes in response to my layout changes.

For example, I don’t know whether you will see it, but I still see an oversized “Ticknall Life” logo which I have deleted from the server via ftp two days ago.

Regarding the layout; yes I have three colums but there is supposed to be a full width ‘Featured Article’ at the top. A bit like this page.

    Hi codger,

I have checked and the image exists on your server

The menu item type “Feature Article” will work with columns, but those leading articles will not show as big articles.
    http://joomla-templates.joomlart.com/ja_magz/ (LATEST block).

For “Category Blog” menu item type, the columns is ignore.

This is not an issue. We want to keep it as the concept.

I deleted the logo.png in the template – obviously the wrong one!

This template has some cool features, but it looks as though I have little control over the layout. A pity – I need a template that is a proper news/magazine style (like Teline II) when viewed on a large screen but will still be usable on a mobile.

I had hoped that the recent responsive version of the Nex template would have done the job, but the colums overlap each other instead of stacking into a vertical column on a small screen.

This is all very disappointing for me. Perhaps I will have to find a template with less hard coded tricks, but which is responsive

Thanks again for trying to help – it really is much appreciated.
