    Hi,

I am using Joomla 1.5.8 and i would like to display the image on the left side of the article as displayed in userguide.

    Questions:
    1) How to display the image on the left side of the article?
    2) Does the image need to respect a specific size (w x h)?

I searched the forum and was unable to find anything related to this.

You should be able to insert the photo by using the “Insert Image” button in your article. I’m not sure which editor you are using but while you have the image properties up, look for a drop down for “Alignment” and align the picture as desired. I always add a little horizontal and vertical space as well (from 5 to 10 pixels) to keep the text from smashing against the image.

    Hope this helps,
    Jessica

I happened to me before too, but I found out that sometimes I did not apply or save the changes. It could be as simple as that.

hi jwellman, I just wanted to ask about the adding 5-10 pixels nest to the pictures. I have thought of doing that too, but was not sure where you would do that. Are there global parameters for this, or do you do it induvidually to each image you insert?
