Hi, I don’t know how it is called, but on the right side I would like to have few (2-3) random articles (which would possibly change themselves) with few lines of summary. I tried to do it, but is it the only possibility that I create new menu with module on the right side, and then to COPY all the articles that i want to see on the right side, to this new menu? Or is it any easier, more straight way? http://www.oaza-sonca.com
Thank you very much!

February 16, 2016 at 4:01 am #883982Hi @slometa,
I’m not entirely sure about your need here. If you want to show some articles with intro text for each, you can create a module (built-in modules for articles of Joomla in Module manager) and select articles you want to show. Then assign this module to your desired position.
February 16, 2016 at 9:28 am #884210Hi, that was useful. But it opened another issue… when I set Read more, it works, but in the original article the first part (before Read more line) it disappears and starts the article with the text below the line. In configuration the Read more button is active. But i think there was only such button in Article section, but I can’t find it any more…
However, it seems a bit weird to me…
I would appreciate your help.

February 16, 2016 at 9:39 am #884220Hi Lana,
In an article, the text before the ‘Readmore’ called ‘introtext’ which will display in module/featured/blog view.
If you want to show in detailed page of each article, you need to enable option Show Intro Text under Options tab of article: http://prntscr.com/a3x5qg
February 16, 2016 at 3:58 pm #884454Thank you, that was useful. But I don’t know why I don’t get all those tabs anymore… I know I had it, but somehow I lost them. I attach the screenshot. In Global configuration there is, but apparently it is not valid as the settings in particular articles are different.
Do you have any idea how I can get it back?
Thanks.

February 18, 2016 at 9:12 am #886054I checked backend of your site and the problem is that you’re setting to hide Intro text of article via menu item.
In Joomla, your site will take settings in Menu item of one page in priority.
For example, with this article http://www.oaza-sonca.com/index.php/masaze-tretmaji/storitve/aktivacija-caker
You need to go to Backend > Menus > Main menu > browse menu item for this page: Aktivacija Ĩaker na stopalih and set to Show Intro Text: http://prntscr.com/a4s1c0
I just changed for you and you can apply to other articles
February 18, 2016 at 9:59 am #886084Thanks, I’m working now on it. But I see that the formatting got crazy… where it should be bold text, it became smaller and is not bold anymore as well… In Toogle editor is everything ok, but on the site is not…
What got wrong…? I think I didn’t do any changes that would cause it…
Thanks a lot!Saguaros ModeratorSaguaros
