    Hi,

    I have 2 strange problems….

First I palced at home position – latest articles selected – after a while I see that suddenly much older articles are displayed. If I go to the menu position, edit and click on save only appear the most current articles again …. and that happens all the time …

Sescond when see the article for example “Der Alltagsheld aus der Imbissbude” in category “Gesellschaft”. There are 2 videos below the article and both videos are black. When I reload this article you can see both videos with images and player buttton…..

What I have to do solve these problems?

    Thanks

Hi, this is a two step process:

    Firstly:

Go to menu manager, main menu.
    Select the menu you want.
    Go to Advanced Options.
Go to Blog Layout and scroll down to Article Order.
    Select Article Manager Order.
    Click Save!

    Secondly:

    Go to Content, Article Manager.
Click on the two little blue arrows next to status to highlight the black dots next to the articles.
Now drag and drop the articles to where you want.
You may have to mess around with the Ascending/Descending tabs at top right of this page if you have lots of articles 😮

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Adam,

    now i´m really confused.

    First:

here in basic-options (main menu-newest articles) I already add only featured articles and newest first…..

    Second:
I use k2 d´ont know which content-article manager and arrows you talk about….Perhaps you can send a screenshot too…

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Markus,

On this first issue, you should check out the item order in the K2 category’s backend that you are going to display in front-end.
K2 category >> Category item layout >> Item Ordering > Select Most recent first (by created or published).

On the second issue, it seems that the HWDMediaShare component (or its intergrated plugin) is getting problem with displaying the Youtube videos on the popup view of our JA Smashboard template. There are 2 suggestions you can refer:

    – Uninstall this plugin and put the Youtube embed codes into the K2 item manually. The Youtube will display fine on popup view then.
    – If you can send me the HWDMediaShare package in PM, I will spend time to check it on our JA Smashboard demo site. Then back to reply you with a suitable solution then.

    Hi Markus,

Sorry, I missed your 2nd concern on using the HWD Media component on our JA Smashboard template. Truely, the problem comes from the HWDMediaShare component itself in displaying the Video/Mp3 media on the browsers running with HTML5 like Chrome. To prove that you can see the 2 Youtube videos still display nicely on Firefox and IE.

In this case, there are another 2 suggestions for you to refer on this case:

    – The same topic was raised on this component’s forum which you can find in http://hwdmediashare.co.uk/forum/74-problems/65285-html5-fallback-not-working

    – Using the AllVideos plugin as an alternative choice, this plugin will also allow you to display the Youtube embed videos into the Joomla articles/ K2 items.

You know, we already had adjusted this plugin to make it effective with Chrome on our template. You just need to download, install it manually. Then overwrite all files in pluginscontentjw_allvideos folder with my attached files. The Youtube videos will also display finely then.

    Hi Markus,

I have checked and selected the Item Order (Most recent first – by date published) in K2 categorie’s backend, now you can see that the K2 categories menu item (i.e Home) is displaying the featured items in right order.

On the 2nd issue with displaying Youtube videos of HWD Mediashare plugin, I’d suggest you to contact its developer for better solution in this case. The reason that the plugin is having the problem of itself on HTML5 browsers (i.e Chrome).

Or another solution is trying to use the AllVideos plugin with customized installation folder that i mentioned in previous reply.
