    by General articles i mean common, universal articles, for example smth like “history ouf our company”, where you can tell how it all has begun – for such articles, i think, it doesn’t make sense for such data like “created by”, “published in”, “date when article created”, “date when article was published”, and so on.. because these General articles will be on site forever and will not be arcivied.. it’s a similar site like “about us” – this information is general, independent of publishing time or author.
    ofc i could do it as a html custom site, but doing it as article is easier, because i can have a site menu and a picture when – and is easier.
    i don’t have such site done yet, but a site with a test article – i don’t know if this makes my point easier to understand..

    this one (screenshot) has now no data about publishing, author, etc – so this could such General site look.. But the bar on the Image is a Little bit disturbing, cause it is not needed here, and the print/mail button is off that bar anyway (is it a bug?)..
    but the articles used for Blogs would be just like that – absolutely similar, cause also made with articles, but there the date about author and Publishing date would be interesting..

    so a good solution would be like: if there is nothing to display, then don’t show the bar on image..

    but i guess it’s not possible to differ that like that, that sometimes the bar is displayed and sometimes not..

    I think there are not so many General articles as you’re mentioning on your site so you can hide these info by set them to display: none as my suggestion above, for the pages where these articles display.

    If you want to customise parameters for article page and you have knowledge for code, you can check this file: templates/ja_nuevo/html/com_content/article/default.php

    and it calls blocks for associated info like: “created by“, “published in“, “date when article created“, “date when article was published” from the templates/ja_nuevo/html/layouts/joomla/content/info_block/block.php file

    not sure i really understand what you mean by that..

    you mean with this? :
    <em>@Ninja Lead 481084 wrote:</em><blockquote>Here you are the solution to get the grey bar out by

    Open templates/ja_nuevo/css/custom.css file and add script below

    .intro-image-wrap .article-aside {
    display: none;
    }

    </blockquote>

    but you mean not to set it in the custom.css, right? but where then? or how do i do that for article A and can assure that it will not affect article B? do i post it in the article’s body?

    ok, i try to explain it.. mybe better with pictures..

    General article with General info, where i don’t want to have any Information data about author, Publishing date, etc.. if i swith all that off, then the bar is still there, but empty..so the bar itself doesn’t make sense.. for such articles it should look like that:

    but i also want to have a blog on the site, so the blog articles of course have to have all that data displayed, so there the bar makes sense.. such articles have to look like that:

    but both are joomla articles.. so how can joomla know, that in one article i want to have that Image wrapped, but in the second case – not? i could use different categories of course, but still – how to say the bar should only apply for articles category “ABC”?

    that’s a Little bit complicated i guess?

    another question: where is the Position of the print/email Symbol is set? if you look to the screenshot of my #1 post, you will see, that, if all other data is not displayed, the print/e-mail symbols are a Little bit to low.. where could be that adjusted?

    I will help you to customize it on blog item and detail article and you need to follow the following steps :

    + Download and extract my attached file

    + Copy blog_item.php file into templates/ja_nuevo/html/com_content/category folder

    + and copy default.php into templates/ja_nuevo/html/com_content/article folder

    Let me know how it goes.
