I started work on this site using the ja_argo template, but not the Quickstart version. I soon discovered however that I was missing the Joomla content modules. In the Extension Manager, they are listed but not available – the icons are ghosted. Strangely, in the Quickstart version, they are available.

According to the template layout manager, I was expecting my K2 category items to show up in the “component” position.

Before I go messing around with this too much, why is this different between Quickstart and simple template? Is there an easy fix?

    Thanks.

    Hi bluetrain,

    – If you are planning to make a new site, then use our Quickstart package to clone the demo site and replace the demo content with yours. Check How to install Quickstart Package.

    – If you are planning to use this template on your already live site. Then you should follow How to make your site look like demo site guide first to know about the steps involved.

Thanks Nazario but it was simply a matter of getting the right menu settings for the Home page. I forgot to change the Menu Item Type to K2 categories.
