Does anybody know how to save an article(s) directly in the section without using categories?

I saw some time ago a plug-in, which can do this, but now I cannot find it.

Actully it’s not allowed by Joomla – if there is a section, category should be assigned too.
I found a disscussion on Joomla forum with a solution, maybe it would help.
