I have a small problem.
Featured articles links are opening inside the frontpage…

Hi

This is a joomla core feature if articles are not related to a menu item ( where a specific layout is defined ) then articles are opened in the home page –

You will need to create a menu item for featured articles and assign to it a template style layout.
