    Hello

    Hope someone can help

I can’t seem to make an article appear on my menu items.

    http://www.computerfix-mobile.co.uk/newsite

The menu items at the top (PC Repair / Mac Repair / Networks) are on the Spa menu and all have a single article.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Also, I put them on the Spa menu because if I add another item to MainMenu it doesn’t appear anywhere? Why is that?

    Many thanks

    Hi there
Please check your template which one assigned for Itemid=781. Is it using no component layout .

    Thank you,

    Helllo

Item 781 is using the Uber Home template.
I have changed it to Uber Default and the article appears.

However the module with the contact numbers and areas covered then disappears. The assignments on this module are set to ALL

I need that module to display as well as the article please?

    Thanks

    Please verify it.

    Hi there
You can check layout used in that template and see if module positions are available or not.

    Thank you,

    Hello
I checked that and the spa-home position is not on the default template layout.

I can’t see a way to add it?

There is a position called full-width, if I click on configure and change that to spa-home, the position name changes on the screen but when I click save it reverts to the full-width module position?

    Hi there
I afraid you are confusing to use T3 template. Please check out our document for detail.

    http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/wiki-ja-t3v2-joomla-2-5/developer-guide#Profiles
If you stil can’t work on it. Please provide your backend & CPanel access.
    I’ll try to help you.

But for basically you can assign another itemid with another template ( have component ) .

    Thank you,
    Viet Vu

    Hello

Yes you are right, I am confused. I’ve been using Joomla / Joomlart for many years and I have never had so much trouble trying to achieve such a simple thing.

I don’t want two templates. I want one.

    Can you help me please?

I want my site to look exactly as it does using one template. The current default template is Uber – Home.
I do not want to also have an additional template. (Uber – Default

    Can you help me please?

I need articles to appear on the Uber – Home template.

I provided my login details when I opened this post.

    Many thanks

    Hi there
Actually it’s depends on your work.
At homepage: Some layout do not want to display component. Than you need use one layout without component for this case
And for all another layout you’ll need use with component.

Actually it’ll much easier if you provide right itemid for all items.
    How it works:
    – Make sure all category have menu items even with sub category. By this way all articles will assigned for right itemid instead current view.

    Thank you,
    Viet Vu

    Viet Vu,

I appreciate your help but I am finding it difficult to understand your English.

I think I will start a new thread with a specific question.

    Many, many thanks

    Hi there
Sorry about this. Let me try to make it more clearly.
    # It’s all about itemid. In Joomla! it’s id of each menu item.
    # Template & Module can assign for different itemid . It’s mean for different menu item it can use with different template / module ( module can display / not display for different itemid ).
    # And now with template. It’s using profile to define how layout look.
Some profile there is no component area defined. Often used for home page which place rendered with modules.

    And your issue
    – Your item using itemid for homepage. When you click on it, it’ll load a new page but same template – layout with homepage and of course no component render.

    That’s all about logic 🙂

    Thank you,
    Viet Vu
