By the way, have you not got the ‘Grab’ application in your Utilities folder? I think this is another ScreenGrab utility which is standard with OSX?

Alternatively, go to your System Preferences, click on “Keyboard & Mouse” and setup keyboard shortcuts for the default Apple Screen Capture (this is the method I use):

If not, just let me know.

It comes as pdf Chris, and not very good quality as the one you have. I have to go to pict then to jpg essentially as you outlined. The programs I have crashes with my existing OS (stucked at 10.3.9) and the features — none of the graphics cards meant for multimedia editing. The bulk of my stuff are in external hard drives. I already discussed the issue with the “Geniuses” at the local Apple stores here — solution buy a new computer.

I have an old iBook (G4). There are features in the new OS that I cannot use because I cannot upgrade to the later versions. I am trying to wait for the new “Snow Leopard”, with its promise of parallel computing — but I am not sure how long my 5yr old computer will hold.:) It is foolish to buy more to upgrade the RAM.

You can always send me the PDF’s by e-mail and I’ll convert to JPG here … I have some decent apps to do that.

Wife needs to upgrage her iBook G4. I’m waiting for the price of the Mac Book Air to drop a bit!!

Yes, we should participate there more. But, they are way behind there too. And, since we do not pay them — we can’t really complain as much like we do here.:)

They did put a few features that I quite really like in Joomla 1.5x, and more in Joomla 1.5.4, but I am just starting to look at the latest upgrade.

However, they also took away some features that worked well in Joomla 1.0x. It might be there actually, I just have not found the time to go through all the Joomla tutorials. This is where we can help each other.

The pdfs I get are not as good as the ones when I do it in the Apple store with the latest intel and OS 10.x.y. So, I stopped making the pdfs except for some financial documents that I have to store.

If she can wait a year or so, the “Snow Leopard” is really a very different animal.

The price of Mac Book Air has dropped here by more than $500 (around $2700 for the high end), I think by early next year, the prices are even lower, or they will just add more stuff

If you noticed there is just a very subtle distinction in the price ranges of the basic Notebook, Mac Book Pro, the iMac, and the MacBook Air.

When I first bought my Mac it was about $1500 with added RAM, I am still spending that much for a basic notebook.

Let us know the link of your post, so we can follow up. Maybe if more people will tell them, they will listen.

Just imagine the total cost in labor (not counting the frustrations) of those millions of Joomla users doing the same.

Of course, the solution may already be there — we just have not read the Joomla manual.:) They have very extensive FAQs for example. The upgrade changelog also is usually well documented.
