    Hi there,

On the downloads page for Wistery, http://www.joomlart.com/downloads/cat/joomlart_club_templates/ja_wistery.html I only see a download link for “JA Wistery 1.5 Templates.” On installing it, it is the normal wistery template.

This is just to ask: when will artistic wistery be ready? If it is already, where can I download it?

    Many thanks,
    David

    Thanks hainn,

I was under the impression that when Hung posted “JA Wistery [Released – 20 Feb, 2008]”, that this refers to both forms of wistery. I am assuming that my assumption was wrong 🙂

    Cheers,
    David

I fixed the JA Wistery Artisitc version for 1.5 myself by doing the following. I uploaded the 1.0 version to my server and pointed the Ja headermodule of the 1.5 version to the Ja Wistery Artistic header folder of the 1.0 version. It works fine.:D

I did the same thing but not as easily as you. I downloaded the artistic images, modified them and then overwrote whatever I needed. http://www.mpsforum.com/ I really wanted the artistic sample and was too antsy to wait. 😀

And don’t forget to copy the css as well. I just dumped the whole template images and css directories from version 1 to my J1.5 install. Looks perfect so far.

By the way, I joined joomlart specifically for the Joomla 1.5 Artistic version of this template. I almost went into a sweat for a minute there…

I joined for Artistic Wistery also. 😀 (And Pariiti) Good luck with your site!

    Thanks Jessica, you too!

Now I’m going to have to go and check out Parlitti… because IMHO templates like JA Wistery are hard to come by. All these template sites (and I’ve scoured most of them) seem to think the only thing people are interested in is crazy busy web 2.0. And that may appeal to star struck first time Joomla users. But as a busy web designer… I can tell you that very few of my client’s are in need of that, in the real world (and I live near San Francisco). They want to present a cleaner message, but one that’s attractive and unique.

Once you unpublish all the unneeded modules (like web stats or duplicate main menus), on a non portal site most of these designs look like the furnture has been taken out of the house…

Yes, Pariiti is very nice. It’s very artistic and not like all the rest. Although… it’s not for probably everyone… Probably not the best template for a Football team site. 😉

Can you please explain what exactly I need to do? I also joined joomlart specifically for the Joomla 1.5 Artistic version and I have no idea on how to proceed. :((
