    Hi, there!
I have a little “problem” in trying to understand this template, I had spend two hours (or more I dont know) in trying to understand how can I handle an artist.
I have read all the artists installed with the example installation, but I cant figure out or I can understand how this template works.

Example, I have Jake Bugg, and I would like to add a Bio (I have a category called “Bio”) and an album (Category “album”).
I have created his own Article “Jake Bug” in “Artist” category, but how can I do to add his own Bio and his own album to him?
Hope you can understand what I’m trying to say.

BIG Thanks for help you can bring me

    Hi ED,

The author of Album or Bio article must be the same with author of Artist article, then that Bio and Album content will display in appropriate Artist.

    Hi Saguaros…

Euuuhhhhmmm… well if I understood: If I have 20 artists I must create 20 authors in Manager users??!!
    If I have 100 new artists I must create 100 new users???!!!!…

I understand this drawback but with that feature, I’m afraid that Joomla can only handle in that way.

    Hi Saguaros,

    Thanks for your reply,

    So, let me see:

1- If I want create a new artist, do I need to create first an author?
The author needs to be “super admin” or just an author?

2- That means that for each author I need a different email address and a different password?
If so, can I use a false email address?

3- Each time I need to update any info about an artist (album or song) do I need to log in with his own author?

    Thanks for your help

Below are my answers to your questions:

1&2: Each author will be a Joomla user so it can be super user or user of appropriate user group available in your site. And of course, each user must have an email address.

3: You don’t need to login with own author, any other users that are granted permission can update info for that content (album or song).

    Hope this make senses.

    Hi Saguaros,
    Thanks lot for your reply…
Well it makes sense but has no sense… it looks very difficult and not easy or friendly to handle this template, anyway…

One last question: Is possible to create catgories and subcategories, example:

    Categories: Rock

    subcategories: Pop, Alternative, Metal…

So, each artist will be be attached to a category and subcategory.

    Is it possible to do?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi,
I’m a little dissapointed, I had no answer (positive or negative) from the team… :((

I decided change this template, I think it is not good for I need… this is the first time I had no answer from the team and the first time I need to change…

Thanks anyway, maybe the administrator should close this post and on the user guide just explain how difficult is this template to use.

    HI ED,

I’m sorry for the lateness. Could you tell me more details of how you want to achieve here?

If simply you want to create a category and its subcategories, you can change one author for this category and its subcategories.

In case that you want to view sub-categories in the list in an artist page like this: http://prntscr.com/2px891. I’m afraid that this template doesn’t support to show sub-categories as if one category has many sub categories, it will not look nice.
