hello!
do i understand correctly, that there are two different dimensions for the thumbnails on the frontpage:
1st is in the slideshow and it’s appropriately 490×280 (1.75:1)
2nd is 210×150 (1.4:1)and the problem is that it’s different aspect ratio, so when i post the picture which is good for the slider, it’s bad for the news module below (content-mass-top) and vice versa.
so how to solve this problem with two different sizes to see all the thumbnails correctly?
sorry, if there’s an aswer on the forum, but i couldn’t find it.

November 13, 2012 at 4:27 am #472724Hi olchik,
These images display in 2 different modules: JA News Featured and JA News Pro module, please go to backend settings of these 2 modules and change to your desired dimension.

November 13, 2012 at 8:14 pm #472820thanks for your fast answer!
i changed the dimensions of thumbnails in JA News Pro Module into wide as in slider, but now it changed all the thumbnails into wide, even the old, which weren’t wide.
in my settings i have “thumbnail mode: using crop”, “resize with ratio: yes”, but it doesn’t use crop. bu changing numbers i can change all the thumbnails into wide or into normal, but why automatic crop isn’t working?

November 14, 2012 at 2:52 am #472834Hi again,
Could you pm me an admin account and send me screenshots of how you want to achieve? I shall check this for you.
November 14, 2012 at 12:08 pm #472904it’s no problem for me to send account info for you, but i want to understand myself how it works that by the settings thumbnails should be cropped, but it doesn’t work.
green arrows are for good aspect ratio, red arrows are for the old pictures which were just resized to 210×120 without crop, as it should be by the settings:
it would be great, if you can help me to solve that problem myself )

November 16, 2012 at 4:44 am #473081Hi olchik again,
Could you post your site url here so that I can check? Also when you set ratio : 210×120 in this JA News Pro, all images should have this same ratio in frontend, I don’t see the images having small size like the green arrow in our demo site.
Regards.
